Colony House – You Know It

Today’s Song of the Day, Colony House – You Know It, comes at you with a buoyant indie-pop sound that pounds you with upbeat hooks and positive vibes that will remind you of bands like The Vaccines, Grouplove, and Ivan & Alyosha. It is the kind of track that will make you want to move and crank up as loud as possible. Which, as you know, is oh so my style.

Founded in Franklin, Tennessee, by Caleb Chapman (vocals, Will Chapman (drums, Scott Mills (guitar), and Parke Cottrell (bass) the band made their way onto the scene with their first album, When I was Younger, in 2014. Since then, the guys have toured constantly, opening up for many established acts, most notably, on the De Compadres tour in 2015. From there, they have been back in the studio making their new album, Only the Lonely, which is set to be released tomorrow (January 13).

You can also get your tickets now for their show (in the Toronto area) at the Horseshoe Tavern for February 25th. If you’d like more info on the guys, or on where they’re playing next, check out their contacts in the links below too. But, in the meantime, please take a momentĀ and give Colony House – You Know It, a listen. You’ll be very glad you did.
